Reflection on Psalm 84:9

Psalm 84:9
Behold our shield, O God;
     look on the face of your anointed.

Lord, You are a shield about me
     The flaming darts of the evil one 
     have nowhere to land.
You cover my head with salvation,
     My heart with Your righteousness
     You are my shield, O God.
You place me in Your strong tower
     And cover my head with oil
     I am safe within Your care.
