Reflection on Psalm 84:8

Psalm 84:8
O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
     Give ear, O God of Jacob!

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer
     seated on your throne
Give ear to my cry
I need Your help
I know I’m not alone

For You are not a God who sits far off
     But have also walked this road
You know our weaknesses
Have been tempted as we are
And now invite us before Your throne

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer
     As I bow before Your throne
To receive Your grace
Your love and Your mercy
Because you have called me your own.
