Reflection on Psalm 84:11

Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
     the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does He withhold
     from those who walk uprightly

The Lord is a sun, 
he lights the darkness,
reveals the hidden places of our hearts.
The Lord is a shield 
from the spiritual forces of evil, 
not always from the hardships of life.
The Lord gives grace and glory to His children.
The grace bought with blood 
the glory of the cross.

No good thing does He withhold 
but His ways are not our ways 
His thoughts are not our thoughts. 
No good thing does He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.
